Dublin images

Stephen- Texture

These are some images of texture that I had taken at the Botanic Gardens in Dublin. The visual texture is made up of line, form and importantly light, shade and shadow. I will choose one of the above images and re-create the textures typographically.

Stephen- Positive and negative space

Negative space created around the end of Bodoni J.
Negative space created around part of Bodoni H.

Negative space created around part of Bodoni G.

Stephen - Opposites

These images show how the position and scale of text can help to express the meaning of the words.

Stephen- Positive and negative space

The negative space between the 2 buildings create 3 triangles of varied sizes. In the other 2 images the negative spaces are the primary focus of the images, particularly the 3rd image of the heart. This heart shape is made up of negative space.
